- Day 5 — Bullet train to Kyoto (reserved seats on Select/Prestige).
- Days 5–7 — Kyoto: temples, Gion and a free-guide day trip to Nara.
- Day 8 — Kyoto: optional Hozugawa river boat & Sagano train.
- Day 9 — Osaka: Dotonbori and the city's kitchen.
- Day 10 — Departure from Osaka (open-jaw in Tokyo, out Osaka).
